1) Dilate coronary artery and improve myocardial blood supply: The myocardial ischemia model was prepared by ligation of the anterior descending branch of coronary artery in dogs. The results showed that safflower yellow pigment could inhibit the increase of lactate dehydrogenase and creatine kinase caused by coronary ligation, and could simultaneously reduce the ST segment, the degree of myocardial ischemia and the scope of myocardial ischemia in dogs with a dose-dependent change: Low dose of safflower yellow hormone (10 mg/kg) can inhibit the heart rate and the ST-segment of myocardial ischemia with small intensity, while high dose of safflower yellow hormone (40 mg/kg) has more obvious inhibitory effect on the heart and can significantly improve myocardial ischemia. Safflower yellow pigment plays an anti-myocardial ischemia role by reducing the myocardial tension time index, increasing the aortic and coronary flow, and protecting cardiomyocytes.
2) Reduce blood pressure, dilate blood vessels, and improve organ blood supply: Biological signal acquisition system was used to observe the changes in the tension of thoracic aortic ring in rats with perfusion, and it was found that Honghuaxin could significantly inhibit the contractile effect of KCl and phenylephrine (PE), endothelial and de-endothelial vascular ring in a concentration-dependent manner.
