• RNA, exists in biological cells and some viruses, viroids of genetic information carriers. RNA is a chain molecule formed by condensation of ribonucleotides by phosphodiester bonds. A ribonucleotide molecule is made of phosphoric acid, ribose and bases. There are four main types of RNA bases, namely A (adenine), G (guanine), C (cytosine), and U (uracil), in which U (uracil) replaces T (thymine) in DNA. The main function of RNA in the body is to guide the synthesis of proteins. [1]
