Boswellia Serrata Extract Boswellic Acid which comes from the resin of the Boswellia tree, also known as frankincense, is a yellow-brown powder extract. α-Boswellic acid is the principal constituent of frankincense (olibanum). It is a specific, non redox inhibitor of 5-lipoxygenase used to treat inflammation. Boswellia serrata is Indian frankincense or Salai. It is found in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh in India. In Ayurvedic medicine, Indian frankincense (Boswellia serrata) has been used for hundreds of years for treating arthritis.
