Marshmallow root (Althaea Officinalis) is a perennial herb that's native to Europe, Western Asia, and Northern Africa. It's been used as a folk remedy for thousands of years to treat digestive, respiratory, and skin conditions. It can be found growing alongside marshes, seas, riverbanks, and other equally damp areas. Our marshmallow powder is ground from organically cultivated roots. Soothing and demulcent, marshmallow root powder can be blended into body care recipes, encapsulated, tinctured, or used in cooking.

  Marshmallow Root Extract has been known to relieve indigestion, kidney problems, urinary tract infections, and even external skin wounds such as boils and abscesses.
  Marshmallow Root Extract has primarily been used for the respiratory and digestive tracts, its high mucilage content may also provide some minor relief for urinary tract and skin infections.
  Marshmallow Root Extract helps soothe inflamed tissues, often caused by bronchitis.
