  The Liliaceae plant Garlic (Allium sativum) was introduced into China during the Qin and Han Dynasties (221 BC to 220 AD) from the Western Regions (West and Central Asia). After artificial cultivation and breeding, it becomes an indispensable condiment in daily life. It is also used as medicine with bulbs, which has anti-cancer effects and enjoys great popularity among the public.

  (2) Because of its strong garlic odour, allicin can increase feed intake of the birds and fish.
  (3) Flavors the meals with a uniform garlic smell and mask unpleasant odors of various feed components.
